Teen Volunteer Program

We are not accepting teen applications at this time. We are still reviewing our program availability and will open the application when we have adequate positions available.  If you have already applied, you will be contacted via e-mail if you are selected for an interview. Please check back the 1st of each month for an update.
Purpose:

The teen volunteer program offers high school students the opportunity to gain exposure to the medical environment while also giving back to the community.

Time Frame:

Teen volunteer opportunities are available year round, however, the application period to apply is only available two to three times per year. Application periods are generally consistent with school semesters. Acceptance into the volunteer program is not guaranteed, even when the application period is open, due to limited assignments for teen volunteers.

If you are considering applying in the future, please not the following:
  • Applicants must be 15 years of age and have completed their freshman year of high school.
  • You  must be able to volunteer at least one day per week for 3 hours at a time (3 pm - 6 pm during weekdays and 9 am - 12 pm or 3 pm - 6 pm on weekends).
  • You must complete all hospital required training, which includes a 3 hour orientation session and training specific to the assignment you will perform.
  • You must comply with hospital policy and have certain medical screenings completed before you begin.

*There are no exceptions to the prerequisites for teenage volunteers*
