The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association, developed the Magnet Recognition Program® to acknowledge superior patient care, nursing excellence and innovations in professional nursing  practice. UMCPP is one of 395 Magnet-recognized organizations, that represent less than 5 percent of hospitals nationwide.
