“Our Children’s Program offers outpatient treatment for children with emotional and behavioral problems that interfere with functioning at school and home,” said Alan Giordano, LCSW, Director of Princeton House Behavioral Health Outpatient Services in North Brunswick. “Through this program, we help children to improve self-control and coping ability, express emotions in a positive way, function in healthier ways at school and home, and improve self-esteem.

Also available for adolescents at Princeton House North Brunswick is the Emotional Eating Track, for those with both disordered eating patterns and mood disorders.

All programs feature a comprehensive evaluation and medical management by a board-certified child psychiatrist and age-appropriate therapeutic interventions from licensed master’s level clinicians, registered nurses, and a dietitian.

Depending on the child’s needs, treatment options include:

  • Intensive Outpatient Program: three hours per day, three days per week.
  • Partial Hospital Program: six hours per day, five days per week. Two hours of education with certified teachers, as well as lunch, are provided for full-day programs.

Transportation may be available.
