Nancy C. Fletcher, Esq. has served as Legal Counsel since 2013, and assumed the role of Vice President of Corporate Compliance and Regulatory Affairs in 2014. She acts as Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer and ensures that all employees, physicians, directors and trustees understand and comply with all related laws, regulations and policies that affect Princeton HealthCare System (PHCS). Her responsibilities include managing all compliance issues and monitoring the PHCS Corporate Compliance Hotline.

Ms. Fletcher has more than two decades of professional experience, mostly related to healthcare. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Cardio-Respiratory Care at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y.

From 1991 to 1995, she served as Director, Cardiopulmonary Services, at Hudson Valley Hospital Center, Peekskill, N.Y.

She received her law degree (J.D.) at Pace University School of Law, White Plains, N.Y., in 1996, and went into private practice with the Lawrenceville firm Lenox, Socey, Wilgus, Formidoni, Brown, Giordano & Casey.

After leaving the firm, Ms. Fletcher served 11 years as General Counsel to St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton. In addition to providing oversight of all legal matters, she assessed privacy and compliance issues and developed plans to address them. She also served on various committees working to ensure that all practices, policies and business activities conformed with legal requirements and the organization’s mission.

Licensed to practice law in New Jersey and New York, Ms. Fletcher is certified by the Health Care Compliance Association and holds Health Care/PhRMA Compliance certification from Seton Hall University Law School. She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association; the New Jersey State Bar Association; the New Jersey Hospital Association, General Counsel section; and the Association for Health Care Compliance Professionals.
