Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this session, the participant shall be able to:

  • Identify evidence-based best practices for the older, hospitalized adult.
  • Describe and identify current updates in the literature for the older, hospitalized adult.
  • Utilize the New Jersey POLST form as a tool to organize the medical care of older adults with advanced illness.

Target Audience: This symposium is designed specifically for the physician focusing on hospital-based medicine. Others who may benefit include any primary care or subspecialist practitioner or APN who practices in a hospital setting.

During this 6-hour CME symposium, attendees can expect to learn important updates on the care for the hospitalized elder. The focus will be on subspecialties such as cardiology, pulmonology and nephrology. Additionally, attendees will receive instruction on prognostication and medical decision-making.

Princeton HealthCare System is accredited by the Medical Society of New Jersey to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Princeton HealthCare System designates this live activity for a maximum of 6 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

There is no cost to participate in the symposium. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. CME credit awards will be mailed to physicians upon completion of program evaluation.
