Ray Lefton Named Vice President, Finance, of Princeton HealthCare System

Ray Lefton, CPA, DDS, MBA, FHFMA, a certified public accountant with nearly 20 years’ experience in healthcare finance, has joined Princeton HealthCare System (PHCS) as vice president, finance.
Dr. Lefton will be responsible for all financial reporting and analysis, planning and budgeting, capital management, revenue cycle management, managed care contracting and treasury functions. He will also provide leadership and financial oversight for all of PHCS’ business operations.
Prior joining PHCS, Dr. Lefton was chief financial officer at Temple East, a former subsidiary of Temple University Health System in Philadelphia that was comprised of Northeastern Hospital and Neumann Medical Center. He previously served as vice president, finance, at Americhoice Inc., a 72,000-member Medicaid HMO in Philadelphia; vice president, finance/chief financial officer, at Mercy Hospital of Philadelphia; and senior manager, healthcare consulting, at Ernst & Young in Pittsburgh.
A graduate of Kalamazoo College, Dr. Lefton earned a master of business administration degree at The University of Michigan. He also earned a doctor of dental surgery degree at The University of Michigan and received fellowship training at Columbia University, New York, where he was an active dental practitioner. Dr. Lefton and his wife, Ruth, reside in Elkins Park, Pa., with their 15-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son.
