Princeton HealthCare System Appoints Trustees and Foundation Directors

Princeton HealthCare System has announced the appointment of new trustees to the PHCS Board and new directors to the Board of Princeton HealthCare System Foundation.

New trustees on the Princeton HealthCare System Board include:

  • Charles (Steve) Dawson, Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer for the State of New Jersey. Mr. Dawson has transformed the way the State IT community does business by developing new technical proficiencies and strengthening the security of the state’s computer systems. Mr. Dawson lives in Mercerville.
  • David F. Ertel, Executive Director and Co-Head of Healthcare, Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc. Involved in healthcare finance for 28 years, Mr. Ertel is responsible for providing investment banking services to healthcare clients across the United States. Mr. Ertel resides in Princeton.
  • JoAnn Heffernan Heisen, Vice President, Chief Information Officer, and a member of the Johnson & Johnson Executive Committee. Ms. Heisen is responsible for the management of information technology and related systems for Johnson & Johnson’s worldwide enterprise, which includes more than 3,500 information management employees and an annual budget of $1.6 billion. Ms. Heisen lives in Princeton.
  • Steven P. Kahn, MD, FACS, Senior Attending Physician, University Medical Center at Princeton. Board certified in surgery, Dr. Kahn is an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Dr. Kahn lives in Princeton.
  • Anthony J. Marino, Jr., MD, President of the Medical and Dental Staff and Co-Director, Division of Neonatology and Special Care Nursery at University Medical Center at Princeton. Board certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, Dr. Marino is Medical Director of the Princeton Infant Apnea Center. Dr. Marino resides in Skillman.
  • Patricia Newman,a volunteer for The Auxiliary of University Medical Center at Princeton since 1984. Ms. Newman has been Co-chair of the Steering Committee for the June Fete for the past two years and recently was appointed President-Elect of the Auxiliary. Ms. Newman works for American Re-Insurance Company. Ms. Newman lives in East Windsor.
  • Michael C. Ruddy, MD, FACP, Chief, Section of Nephrology, and Treasurer of the Executive Committee of the Medical and Dental Staff, Princeton HealthCare System. Board Certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Ruddy is also Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine and Adjunct Associate Professor of Pharmacology at the UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Dr. Ruddy lives in Princeton.

New directors serving on the Board of the Princeton HealthCare System Foundation include:

  • Kim Pimley, Co-founder of Pimley & Pimley, Inc., and President of P&P Training Resources, Inc. She provides credit, corporate finance and derivatives training to commercial and investment banking institutions worldwide. Ms. Pimley lives in Princeton.
  • Mark Pollard, a financial consultant in the Global Private Client Group, Merrill Lynch, where he is Senior Vice President – Investments, overseeing more than $1.5 billion in assets. Recognized among the country’s top financial advisors, Mr. Pollard specializes in total portfolio planning with an emphasis on portfolio management, asset allocation and diversification strategies. Mr. Pollard resides in Princeton.
  • Henry Davison, Jr., MD, President of the PHCS Medical & Dental Staff from 2003 to 2005, after serving two years as Vice President. Board Certified in surgery, Dr. Davison joins the Foundation Board after two years of service as a Trustee. Since 1992, he has been an Associate Attending Surgeon and Attending Surgeon at University Medical Center. Dr. Davison lives in Skillman.
  • Betsy Sands, a volunteer and leader of The Auxiliary of University Medical Center at Princeton since 1991. Ms. Sands served on the Board of Trustees during her tenure as President of the Auxiliary and joins the Foundation Board of Directors as Auxiliary Past President. Ms. Sands lives in Princeton.
  • Duncan MacMillan, a Trustee of Princeton HealthCare System and Treasurer of the Foundation Board of Directors. Mr. MacMillan works with the Development Group at Bloomberg LP. He designed many of the computer systems by which Bloomberg disseminates information and communicates critical data to subscribers. Mr. MacMillan lives in Princeton.
