Free Prostate Health Screening

Princeton HealthCare System's Community Education & Outreach Program is sponsoring a free and confidential prostate health screening on Wednesday, September 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the University Medical Center at Princeton Clinic. The evening will include refreshments.

The screenings will be provided by physicians board certified in urology, including Alexander P. Vukasin, MD, Chief of Urology, Princeton HealthCare System. Screenings include a digital rectal exam (DRE) and blood work for Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA). Each screening will take approximately 10 minutes or less to perform.

The screening is targeted at men in the following demographics:

            All men over age 50

            Men over age 40 with a family history of prostate cancer

            African American men over age 40

The screening can also help to diagnose conditions such as benign prostatic hypertrophy and prostatitis. Any man experiencing symptoms such as frequent urination, pain, interrupted stream, interrupted sleep, pushing, and dribbling can benefit from this screening.

The University Medical Center at Princeton Clinic is located at 253 Witherspoon St., Suite B in the Medical Arts Building. Registration is preferred, but all walk-ins will be accepted. To register, please call 1.888.897.8979.
