Princeton Fitness & Wellness 10th Anniversary Health Fair

Sep 10, 2013

Princeton HealthCare System (PHCS) will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Princeton Fitness & Wellness with a community health fair Saturday, September 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The community health fair, featuring free health screenings, activities and games for the whole family, will be held at the fitness center, Princeton North Shopping Center, 1225 State Road (Route 206), Montgomery.

PHCS Community Education & Outreach will perform cholesterol, podiatry, skin cancer, blood pressure and non-fasting glucose screenings. Staff from Princeton Rehabilitation—located within Princeton Fitness & Wellness—will provide balance and postural screenings.

The day will be filled with wacky water races, swim stroke analysis, Parent and Me swim classes, face painting, crafts, games and prizes. Eliot the Super Magic Man and various other performers will provide entertainment for all ages.

In addition, there will be a variety of fun, fitness and health activities. The trainers will conduct free functional movement screenings, timed fitness competitions known as Minute to Win It and a birthday bash obstacle dash, featuring a variety of engaging fitness challenges–helping you cross the finish line to a more vibrant you.

The group fitness department will present a showcase of classes, a Les MillsTM circuit and a mind body workshop. Also during the health fair, there will be a variety of tutorials from how to use your Polar Heart Rate Monitor to how to set up your cycle bike correctly. The classes are for all abilities and ages.

All in the community are welcome and encouraged to join in the festivities.
