Hamilton, NJ - If you are looking for something fun to do with your child this summer, or a way to connect with your pre-teen, Kids Can Cook: Lunch! may be the answer. Princeton HealthCare System's Community Education & Outreach Program will offer this class to children, ages 8 through 12, and their parents, on how to prepare healthy, simple recipes together.
The course will be offered on Monday, August 17, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Princeton HealthCare System's Community Education & Outreach Program at the Hamilton Area YMCA John K. Rafferty Branch, Suite 100, Conference Rooms A and B, 1315 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road in Hamilton.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for kids and families to connect with the preparation of good nutritional food that brings families together and encourages good, healthy eating," says Nancy Baumann, MS, RD, Director of Nutrition, Princeton HealthCare System.
This session will focus on healthy lunches just for kids and will feature a hands-on demonstration by Pamela Bove, RD, a registered dietitian with University Medical Center at Princeton's Nutrition Program. The class is $15 per child, parent attends for free. Registration is required.
