PHCS to Offer Safe Sitter Course for Adolescents, Ages 11 to 13, on July 23 and 24, 2009

Princeton, NJ -- Princeton HealthCare System (PHCS) will offer a two-day course to adolescents, ages 11 through 13, on how to be safe babysitters. This course will be held on July 23 and 24, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in conference rooms A and B at PHCS' Community Education and Outreach Program at the Hamilton Area YMCA John K. Rafferty Branch, Suite 100, 1315 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road in Hamilton. The class is $65 per child. Registration is required and sitters should bring their own lunch.
This course will teach skills that will enable Safe Sitter babysitters to keep the children in their care out of harm's way while their parents are away. The course will focus on a variety of topics including rescue skills, basic first aid, and safe and nurturing childcare techniques.
