SALT CREEK GRILLE PRESENTS $20,863 CHECK TO 2008 CHARITY RECIPIENT PRINCETON HEALTHCARE SYSTEM TO CULMINATE YEAR-LONG PARTNERSHIP
Princeton, NJ - March 3, 2009 - Salt Creek Grille, Princeton is pleased to announce the culmination of its year-long partnership with Princeton HealthCare System (PHCS), Salt Creek Grille's designated charity of 2008, with the presentation of a check for $20,863 at the restaurant on Monday, March 16 at 11 AM. Salt Creek Grille management, Princeton HealthCare System President and CEO Barry Rabner, and Mayor Peter Cantu of Plainsboro will also be attendance. The funds represent the total amount raised over the course of the year by Salt Creek Grille in support of the development of PHCS' new facility, the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro (UMCPP).
Set to open in 2011, the UMCPP is being carefully designed with the health needs of the region in mind. This state of the art facility will use new technology and innovation in the delivery of healthcare, with a focus on achieving excellent clinical outcomes and the highest levels of patient satisfaction. The groundbreaking ceremony for the new hospital was held October 3, 2008.
"Salt Creek Grille is committed to supporting the initiatives of local organizations that positively impact the greater Princeton community, and PHCS' innovative and ambitious UMCPP facility is a perfect example," said Hugh Preece, Managing Partner of Salt Creek Grille. "We very much enjoyed working with PHCS over the last year and are excited to watch as the UMCPP facility takes shape right across the road. We are certain it will be a wonderful new addition to our area, and are honored to have been a part of its launch."
As Salt Creek Grille's 2008 charity, PHCS received $1 for each order of Herb Roasted Chicken on the restaurant's lunch and dinner menus. In addition, Salt Creek Grille hosted a Wine and Martini Fundraiser for PHCS in late October, donating its food, services, and 100% of the profits. The fundraiser gave more than 120 attendees a sneak peak of the new UMCP and raised additional funds for the hospital.
"Salt Creek's generous support and involvement throughout 2008 was a tremendous benefit to us not only monetarily, but in terms of raising awareness for the new UMCPP as well," said Barry S. Rabner, President and CEO of PHCS. "The end-of-year fundraiser, for example, not only raised money but afforded us the opportunity to directly thank our generous donors, and engage new prospects. We are incredibly grateful to have had Salt Creek Grille as a partner and look forward to a continued great relationship with our new neighbor along Route 1."
As part of its ongoing commitment to giving back to the community it serves, Salt Creek Grille selects a new charity to benefit every year. The 2009 designee will be announced next week.
