Commissioner Howard Thanks Princeton HealthCare System Hospice Volunteers at Yearly Dinner

Dec 11, 2008

New Jersey Commissioner of Health and Senior Services Heather Howard and New Jersey Hospital Association President and CEO Betsy Ryan met with Princeton HomeCare Services Hospice Program volunteers on Tuesday, December 2, to thank them for the invaluable care they provide to terminally ill patients and their families in central New Jersey. Princeton HomeCare Services is a unit of Princeton HealthCare System.

Serving Mercer, Middlesex, Hunterdon, Burlington and Somerset Counties, PHCS' Hospice Program cared for nearly 500 patients and family members last year. This yearly dinner is a thank you to all of these volunteers and is organized by PHCS with food donations from Princeton restaurants including Mediterra Restaurant, Lucy's Ravioli Kitchen and Main Street Bistro and Bar. The meeting room was a donation from the New Jersey Hospital Association, at its headquarters on Alexander Road in West Windsor.

For volunteer opportunities, please contact Maureen Marchetta, Princeton HomeCare Services Hospice Program Volunteer Coordinator, at 609.497.4959.
