Top-Rated Pediatric Care at the Top-Rated UMCPP
Since July 2009, physicians and other health professionals from CHOP have been providing services for children at UMCPP as part of CHOP Pediatric Care at UMCPP (Pediatric Unit) and CHOP Newborn Care at UMCPP (Neonatal Intermediate Care Unit). This partnership combines the skills of two top-rated facilities:
- The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, a world leader in pediatric medicine and research, has been named the best children’s hospital in the United States by Parents magazine in its 2013 rankings. This trusted source of information for families also awarded CHOP top rankings in specialties including cancer, emergency medicine and cardiac care.
In addition, CHOP shares the No. 1 spot on U.S.News & World Report’s 2012-13 Honor Roll of the Nation’s Best Children’s Hospitals, and was the only hospital in the region named to this prestigious list. In ten pediatric specialties surveyed by U.S.News, CHOP received more No. 1 rankings than any other hospital in the nation.
- University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro was recognized by The Joint Commission as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures--among only 405 hospitals nationwide for 2010 and only 12 in New Jersey to receive this recognition.
