The family of healthcare professionals at UMCPP understands that childbirth is a unique experience and we respect your choices about delivery.

• We offer a supportive environment for labor, with nurses who provide education and birthing options and pain management to support you throughout your labor and delivery at UMCPP
• We encourage babies to room in with their mothers; however, babies can be cared for in our nursery if you would like some quiet time
• Our certified lactation consultant will visit with you to offer support and answer questions
• Nurse midwife services are available for those who embrace the philosophies of this model of care. For a referral to a certified nurse midwife, call 1.888.PHCS4YOU(742.7496)
• Home care, an option to ease the transition from hospital to home, can be arranged through Princeton HomeCare
