Advanced Maternal Fetal Medicine Services

At Penn Maternal Fetal Medicine at UMCPP, we are committed to making your pregnancy as smooth and happy as possible.maternal_fetal.jpg

We remain dedicated to advancing the care given to each and every patient. Our partnership with the Maternal Fetal Department at Penn Medicine, a team of nationally recognized experts in high-risk obstetrics, fetal evaluation and antepartum testing, led by Robert Debbs, DO, FACOOG, allows us to offer a broad range of services on site at our new Plainsboro facility.

Through this partnership, Penn Maternal Fetal Medicine at UMCPP offers advanced care for you and your baby on a referral basis through our Center for Maternal and Newborn Care, which provides round-the-clock access to board certified obstetricians, perinatologists (maternal fetal medicine specialists for complex pregnancies), anesthesiologists, neonatologists and pediatricians.

Our Maternal Fetal Medicine Department offers:

  • Affiliation with a national leader: Penn Medicine has been recognized as one of the nation’s top 10 hospitals for four consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report.
  • Increased range of services on-site: Our partnership with Penn Medicine enables us to offer services such as Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS) testing, pre-conceptual tests, including Hysterosalpingogram (HSG), amniotic fluid retention strategies and management of multiple gestation outcomes, on-site at our Princeton facility. We also offer amniocentesis, genetic sonography, diabetes management, first-trimester nuchal translucency and serum screening for fetal abnormalities, as well as genetic counseling and education.
  • More access to our services: Turnaround time for scheduling an appointment will be reduced from approximately one week to less than three days in most cases, thanks to the addition of a third sonographer and a fourth exam room.
  • 24-hour access: Round-the-clock access to board certified obstetricians, perinatologists, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and pediatricians.
