For fast treatment of minor medical or orthopedic emergencies, Fast Track in UMCPP's Center for Emergency Care can get you in and out in 90 minutes or less in most cases. UMCPP’s Fast Track services are provided seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. If you have a minor injury or illness, you can receive exceptional care from UMCPP’s clinical team, including board certified emergency medicine physicians and specially trained physician assistants and registered nurses.
For patients with more serious illnesses or conditions, who need to be admitted to the hospital, UMCPP has also worked hard to reduce wait times. While these patients’ overall stay in the Center for Emergency Care may exceed 90 minutes, they typically spend less than 90 minutes waiting for a bed once they are admitted to the hospital.
Initiatives such as bedside registration help to facilitate the admissions process and support reduced wait times for patients.
