Interim Medical Director: Irena Benaur, MD, PhD
Dr. Benaur has nearly 20 years of experience in private practice psychiatry. Fluent in Russian, she served as a neurologist at the Neurological Hospital in Russia early in her career. In 1995, she completed her residency training in general psychiatry at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, and since that time she has practiced psychiatry in the Philadelphia and Princeton areas. As Interim Medical Director for the Center for Eating Disorders Care, she oversees the majority of the clinical operations of the eating disorders program.
Program Director: Melinda Parisi, PhD
A licensed psychologist with nearly 20 years of expertise in eating disorders, Dr. Parisi serves as Program Director for the Center for Eating Disorders Care as well as Administrative Director of Hospital Psychiatry. She has held faculty appointments at Chestnut Hill College, Immaculata University and The College of New Jersey. In addition, she has written and presented extensively on assessment and treatment of eating disorders, as well as the impact of eating disorders on families. Dr. Parisi earned her Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and her doctoral degree from Fordham University.
Attending Physician: Darlene Osipuk, MD
Dr. Osipuk has more than 25 years of experience as a psychiatrist with expertise in eating disorders and women’s wellness. Prior to joining the Center for Eating Disorders Care, she served as the Executive Director of the Woman to Woman Health Care Program in Mountain Lakes, where she developed a community outreach program on women’s wellness, focusing on issues like depression, anxiety, eating disorders and other life challenges. Prior to this, she served as an Attending Psychiatrist at Saint Clare’s Health System. Currently, she maintains a private practice in Mountain Lakes. Dr. Osipuk earned her medical degree from the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/Rutgers Medical School.
Staff Psychiatrist: Rebecca Meinke, MD
Board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry and adult psychiatry, Dr. Meinke joined our team in 2014 as a Staff Psychiatrist. Prior to this, she served as a Staff Psychiatrist for Princeton House Behavioral Health at Moorestown, where she provided assessment and management of youth ages 5 to 18 in psychiatric, dual diagnosis and addiction programs. She also provided on-call coverage for patients at the Center for Eating Disorders Care and at Princeton House’s inpatient facility. Previously, she was Medical Director of VisionQuest Pathfinders Residential Facility, focusing on psychiatric services for youth ages 12 to 18. Dr. Meinke received her medical degree from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School.

Jose Vazquez, MD
Dr. Vazquez is the Medical Director for all psychiatry services available within the hospital. In this role, he works closely with attending physicians at the Center for Eating Disorders Care and oversees psychiatric consultations hospital-wide, including in the Psychiatric Emergency Room.
Supervising Psychologist: Elizabeth Frenkel, PhD
As Supervising Psychologist at the Center for Eating Disorders Care, Dr. Frenkel holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Miami University and completed her fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She has expertise in eating disorders, trauma and child psychology. Dr. Frenkel also serves as a guest lecturer at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and frequently presents on the assessment and treatment of eating disorders.
Nurse Manager: Lydia Pitonyak, RN, BSN, CPN
Lydia holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her certifications in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing and as a Pediatric Nurse Specialist. She has 21 years of experience in nursing, including 18 years specializing in the care of patients with eating disorders and nine years in nursing management.
