The Young Adult Program offers Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient services to young men and women ages 18 through mid-20's who are coping with mental health and/or substance abuse problems that are negatively affecting their sense of well-being and overall functioning. Adults in the Partial Hospital Program attend six hours per day (9:30am - 3:30pm) four/five days per week. Adults in the Intensive Outpatient Program attend three hours per day (9:30am - 12:30pm) three days per week. Transportation is available within defined areas.
Program Goals
- Educate patients and families about diagnosis, symptoms, warning signs, medication options and outside resources
- Develop appropriate, healthy, adaptive coping skills in response to triggers
- Teach relationship- building skills
- Build self-esteem and self-confidence
- Assist in evaluating life goals with respect to school/employment, or other pursuits
- Increase connections to mental health/social supports (e.g., school guidance, NAMI Youth Group, DBSA, sober supports on campus, NA/AA)
- Foster independence and encourage patients to feel capable of making adult decisions and taking on adult responsibilities

- Group Psychotherapy, Psycho-Education and Expressive Group Therapies
- Urine Drug Screens (as clinically indicated)
