The participation of active and retired physicians has been an essential element in the success of the Design for Healing Campaign.
One of the ways in which physicians support the new hospital is through their involvement with the Physicians' Development Committee (PDC). The committee,
co-chaired by board certified oncologist Peter Yi, MD, FACP, and Donald Denny, MD, board certified in radiology, diagnostic radiology and vascular, interventional radiology, encourages physicians' support as donors to the Princeton HealthCare System Foundation's Design for Healing Campaign for the new University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro, as well as for ongoing support of the foundation's Annual Fund.
As of March, 2013, The Physicians' Development Committee's has raised more than $3,500,000, exceeding the PDC Campaign goal by almost 12%! The gifts have come from over 330 individual physician donors and nine physician groups. Gifts to the Campaign are payable over a five-year period and may qualify physicians for a naming opportunity in the new hospital.
