Physician Involvement

The participation of active and retired physicians has been an essential element in the success of the Design for Healing Campaign.

One of the ways in which physicians are supporting the new hospital is through membership on the Physicians' Development Committee (PDC).  The committee, co-chaired by board certified oncologist Peter Yi, MD, FACP, and Donald Denny, MD, board certified in radiology, diagnostic radiology and vascular, interventional radiology, encourages physicians' support as donors to the Princeton HealthCare System Foundation's Design for Healing Campaign for the new University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro, as well as for ongoing support of the foundation's Annual Fund.

As of May 2012, The Physicians' Development Committee's has raised $2.7 million toward the PDC campaign goal of $3 million, with gifts from over 300 individual physician donors and 6 physician groups.  Gifts to the Campaign can be made over a five-year period and may qualify physicians for a naming opportunity in the new hospital.
