Nuclear Medicine Studies

A wide spectrum of general nuclear medicine studies are available to outpatients at University Medical Center at Princeton, which has achieved the prestigious three-year accreditation from the American College of Radiology for all three modalities of imaging: general nuclear medicine (planar imaging); SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography); and Nuclear Cardiology Imaging.

Nuclear medicine studies are provided by licensed technologists and supervised by nuclear medicine physicians and radiologists. UMCP is equipped with state-of-the-art technology gamma cameras and the latest computer technologies for acquiring and processing scans.

UMCP's nuclear medicine studies include:

  • Bone scans
  • HIDA scans
  • Gastric emptying scans
  • Nuclear cardiac stress testing
  • Lung scans
  • Inpatient and outpatient thyroid treatment program offering exceptional patient-focused service.
