Leapfrog Hospital Quality and Safety Survey

Patient safety is a high priority at the University Medical Center at Princeton. To show our commitment to safety, we publicly report our clinical processes to the Leapfrog Group by completing their Patient Safety survey. The Leapfrog Hospital Quality and Safety Survey provides consumers and purchasers of healthcare with information they need to make informed healthcare choices and promote transparency within health care organizations.

For the second consecutive year (2008-2009), the Leapfrog Group named UMCP one of the Top Hospitals in the nation for patient safety, one of only 37 hospitals to be so named.

We pride ourselves on adhering to a higher standard of patient safety and quality by implementing the Leapfrog "leaps" and the National Quality Forum's 30 Safe Practices. Evidence shows that the implementation of these Safe Practices can work to reduce or prevent adverse events and medical errors.
