Maternal-Fetal Medicine Services are available on a consultative basis through our Maternal-Child Health Program, which provides exceptional care for mother and baby through 24-hour access to board certified obstetricians, perinatologists (Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists for complex pregnancies), anesthesiologists, neonatologists and pediatricians.

Our consultative services for Maternal-Fetal Medicine offer access to highly sophisticated technologies, including 3D-4D ultrasound. Our maternal-fetal medicine physicians are able to provide at UMCP state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as amniocentesis, genetic sonography, first trimester nuchal translucency and serum screening for fetal abnormalities, as well as genetic counseling and education.
