  • Classify the gram negatives
  • Describe the extent of nosocomial gram negative infections
  • Discuss antibiotics with extended gram negative coverage
  • Review mechanisms and modes of resistance

Harnessing Psychology to Promote Healthy Behavior

This course is directed to the learning needs of physicians, psychotherapists, psychologists, counselors, intermediate to advanced-level social workers and related fields of practice.

AGENDA:

  • Principles of decision psychology and behavioral economics
  • Framing effects and default effects
  • Studies of vaccination and dietary behavior
  • Discussion of extensions to mental health
  • OBJECTIVES:  
  • List principles of behavior economics and how they can be harnessed to encourage healthy behavior
  • Critique experiments that assess the impact of behavioral economics interventions
  • Discuss the potential to extend behavioral economic interventions into mental health
